Been in a Car Accident?
Here's Why You Might Still Hurt.
The hospital checked you. They said nothing was broken. They sent you home to rest. But a week later, your neck is aching. The headaches have started. Your back feels stiff.
This is common after a car accident. Many injuries from a crash do not show up on a normal hospital scan.

Why You Can Still Hurt After a "Normal" Scan
After a crash, the hospital looks for broken bones and serious injury. That is their job. But a normal scan does not always mean your spine is fine. It means nothing is fractured. Many crash injuries do not show up on a standard scan. One is whiplash, which is when your head is thrown back and forth fast in a crash.
Others are strained muscles and stretched ligaments, the tough bands that hold your joints in place. These often show up later. In pain. In stiffness. In headaches that start a few days after the crash

What Happens at Your First Visit
Your first visit is not about rushing into treatment. It is about finding out what happened to your body.
Here is what we may do:
Ask about your crash. We talk about how it happened and how you have felt since.
Check how you move. We look at how well your neck and back are moving
Test your nerves and muscles. If needed, we check your reflexes, feeling, and strength.
Look at your posture. We check how you sit and stand, and where the problem may be.
Review your scans. Bring any you have. We only arrange more if there is a clear reason.
Explain it simply. We tell you what we found and what your choices are.
And if we do not think we can help you, we will say so. We will point you in the right direction without charging you.

After 90 days, TAC usually needs to approve more care.
